House of Flavors is a summer tradition for many Ludington visitors, with families returning year after year to this fun, retro spot, for good old-fashioned fun. Learn about what House of Flavors is all about & help us achieve our Purpose.
Michigan Made Meals
By the 1940s they processed milk, buttermilk, cottage cheese, and ice cream. In the late 1940s a businessman with a decade of dairy experience moved to Ludington from a city 60 miles south to become a partner of the existing business. He became the general manager and the name was changed to Park Dairy. The milk and butter segments of the business were sold off and the enterprise thereafter concentrated on just making ice cream. Here at House of Flavors, we are driven to do more than just make quality products and amazing ice cream. We're also passionate about our people, and strive to provide an amazing work environment as well as positively impact our community and world.
Park Dairy Scrambles
They are the largest producer of ice cream in Michigan. The plan is to offer several new ice cream flavors, and sundaes at the popular Ludington spot. When House of Flavors releases the new ice creams to vote on, we’ll be sure to let you know. Until then, get ready to salute summer at one of Michigan’s Best. While we do produce a lot of ice cream, this is only a part of why we do what we do. Our whole purpose as a company is to be able to continually fund the Protein Foundation, whose mission is to fund organizations to feed those in need.
A 1950s-themed ice cream parlor and restaurant is located in front on the main avenue of Ludington. Their signature flavor is "Blue Moon" ice cream and they ship their ice cream products worldwide. House of Flavors Restaurant Reviews
“This year our friends, family and customers didn’t get to take advantage of that,” said Barry Neal, who’s family owns House of Flavors. Due to the pandemic, House of Flavors has not had dine-in service for over a year. They’ve been doing take-out and delivery during this time, and haven’t been able to offer their free scoop of ice cream with every meal ordered in the restaurant.
Dinner At The Dairy
Moist and succulent, the turkey gets served up as Thanksgiving dinner, and hot sandwiches drenched in homemade gravy and nuzzled up next to homemade mashed potatoes. I had the turkey sandwich, which was pulled turkey, not processed. It was like leftovers the day after Thanksgiving. One thing to note, though, is that they charge you an extra 3.2 % to use your credit card.

We’re thankful to be a part of a company whose passion is to give back. At the restaurant, you can stroll on in and select from a rotating list of about 30 flavors every day. Have it stacked up in a homemade waffle cone, or get it whipped into a shake or a malt.

We accomplish this through our people, suppliers, programs, and physical resources. We will continue to strive for better quality and safety through constant plant and personal improvements. The purpose of this business is to be a funding engine for the Protein Foundation. We also would be remiss if we didn’t mention the fabulous rotisserie turkey they roast every single day at House of Flavors.
We always get ice cream and enjoy the atmosphere. We stopped in again and had ice cream. Never realized they had a side door to the ice cream bar/room.
